100 Mile Funeral Service was founded in 1978 by Ian and Del Gunn. The Gunns had owned and operated a Funeral Home in Northern Manitoba for a number of years, which they had purchased from Ian’s uncle. After moving to the Cariboo in 1977 they saw the need for a local funeral service provider. In the early years arrangements were made in peoples homes. Ian’s reputation as the local funeral director evolved in the South Cariboo and many families needs were served.
