We just got an email that 1planhost is shutting its doors.
This was for a website that we had hosted with them for years. When the company was bought out, the site went down, and we were unable to reach them by phone, or email, despite numerous attempts. We spent months trying to get the domain name moved as well - unfortunately we registered through them, and they had the log in information with GoDaddy.
The entry should at least be edited to "no customer support" as there was absolutly none for the past year.

DO NOT HIRE 1PLANHOST!!! The new owners have not only ripped off thousands of customers this year (2006) since taking over the company, they have ruined businesses by the score because they left all of us hanging for WEEKS with no online support, no emails answered, phones disconnected, absolutely no way to get in touch with them that our sites were down -- in fact, their own site was down! It's back up now, I assume continuing to bilk unsuspecting customers who heard of the old company, which was great. Now it's merde city, do not walk, RUN FROM 1PLANHOST, they are the #1 ripoffs in the webhosting industry.
