Born and raised in Israel, Shahar learned to cut diamonds at the side of his father, a professional diamond cutter, who passed on his love of his trade to his son. At the age of 21 Shahar went to Gemology and Rough design school in the diamond bourse of Ramat Gan followed by a move to Los Angeles two years later. Always fascinated with technology and the potential it offers, Shahar began to experiment with jewelry modeling software for his designs.
