Scott was born in Hong Kong and brought up in Hampshire. He completed a BA (Hons.) Degree in Sports Studies at Southampton University [Bishop Otter College] before winning a scholarship from the Professional Golfers Association. He came runner-up in the Trainee of The Year Award 1997 and continues to develop his career at Dukes Meadows Golf Club in Chiswick. He has been awarded the status of ‘Advanced PGA Professional’ and aims to earn the status of Master Professional through continuing professional development with the PGA.
