The Association of Professionals Treating Eating Disorders is a non-profit organization, which has been serving the Bay Area for over 25 years, offering trainings, referrals, and treatment. Our psychotherapy clinic has a specialized treatment center staffed by Master's and Ph.D. level therapists. (People without eating disorders are also welcome, and should press option "2" when calling.) We offer sliding scale fees.

Our Director:
Dr. Deborah Brenner-Liss has worked with eating disorders since the 1970’s. Between 1980—1985, she taught and supervised at the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia in New York City. Between 1986-1987, she worked at the Mt. Zion Eating Disorder Program in San Francisco. Since 1985, she has been the Director of the Association of Professionals Treating Eating Disorders. She supervises the other therapists working at the clinic, and maintains a private practice in San Francisco and the East Bay.
