- aboutMorrisonHomes.com was started soon after my wife and I bought our house from Morrison Homes in 2001. The reason we started this was because of problems with construction beginning with our concrete slab, the lies and deception from our superintendent and then being threatened with a $200 a day penalty for delaying closing. Yes, we were customers they were so concerned about pleasing that they threatened us with a penalty because we wanted to delay closing until after January 1st instead of December 28th. The reason the dates are significant is because their bonuses are for closings during the month and/or year. We visited our house on December 25th and there were no cabinets installed, no flooring installed, no trim installed and no painting done. They slammed (slammed is a builders term for throwing your home together with minimal consideration for how well the work is done) the house so we would close and they could get their bonus. They even went so far as to call the county taxing authority to inform them that the house was substantially complete so it could be put on the tax rolls for the year. My, my, my they are a helpful bunch of people aren’t they? That is what started this relationship. After trying unsuccessfully to resolve our issues I decided to reserve this domain name so we could tell our story when the proper time came. We finally retained a local attorney after getting the run around for two years. Now the time is right and we are publishing this as our story. If the interest is there, then we may expand the site to include your stories, pictures, and complaints. E-mail us with your story and your comments.
