- The Aikido Association of America (AAA), a nationally-based organization with an affiliation of over 90 dojo worldwide, is one of numerous organizations serving as an extension of the Hombu Dojo (the Aikido World Headquarters) in Tokyo, Japan.
- Founded in 1984 by Fumio Toyoda, Shihan, AAA provides instruction, recognition of schools, rank certification through standardized examinations, seminar workshops for instructional support to member dojo, Aikido demonstrations, and self defense arts and weapons training. The goal of the AAA is to lift American Aikido to its highest level, using traditional Japanese and modern methods of teaching Aikido arts and philosophy.
