- Alastair Inkster Associates is a specialised marine consultancy company dedicated to giving clients, workable, effective, and economic solutions to their vessel operational problems. Alastair Inkster started in the marine engineering field in 1969. To-date he has worked at sea as a ‘hands on’ engineer ever since, mainly on large pelagic fishing trawlers and purse seiners with modern recirculating sea water refrigeration and hydraulic systems as well as in the Merchant Navy.
- Alastair Inkster has been chief engineer and director with the Altaire Fishing Company of Shetland for the past twenty four years and has assisted in building up a world class, modern fishing company with many innovative features and ideas.
