Capabilities

Design - Part Engineering Aline Components’s design team has over 25 years of experience working with customers to create many types of plastic parts. Aline Components builds to customer specifications.

Through the use of computer-aided design (CAD) technology, we work with customers to create an exceptional plastic injection mold design. While maintaining high quality in the part itself, Aline also works to ensure that construction can be performed efficiently, which lowers cost to the customer.

Aline includes this service at no extra cost to the customer. No one should have to pay extra to get what they want.

Tooling, Dies and Molds Aline Components fully integrates rapid tooling, plastic mold making, hot foil stamping, and mold maintenance with precision design and production services. The integration has allowed us to streamline the plastic manufacturing process for optimum production speeds. Aline plastic manufacturing uses a refined and efficient process to produce exact specifications in custom plastic parts at speeds that meet customer deadlines and exceed customer expectations.

Thermoplastic Injection Molding The primary process for manufacturing custom plastic parts and components is thermoplastic injection molding. The primary source for your injection-molded products is Aline Components, Inc. Although custom plastic molding differs from one product manufacturer to another, the principle of applying heat and pressure to form plastic parts or components is a method that is synonymous across the mold making industry. When you choose Aline, Pennsylvania's leading plastic injection molding company, you are guaranteed professional quality assurance standards, the latest in technological equipment, and innovative, cost-efficient manufacturing techniques.

Value Added Process A leading plastic injection molding and manufacturing company, Aline Components excels at working directly with customers to design and supply innovative custom solutions that meet unique product needs and application requirements. By employing some of the most talented engineers and technicians in the industry, we are capable of offering value added services from modest operations like hot stamping to sophisticated processes such as insert molding. With our value added processes your custom plastic part or component is ready to be integrated into the final assembly upon delivery.

Thermoplastic Materials As a leading plastic manufacturing company, Aline Components offers a broad range of thermoplastic materials to international, national, and regional customers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, and Maryland. With extensive experience in custom plastic injection molding, we have the materials and the full-service capabilities to deliver what you want at the speed you need. Based on your custom plastic part or component application, Aline designers and engineers can suggest what thermoplastic material will work best for your product or system.

What makes thermoplastics unique is their ability to go through repeated freezing and melting cycles and be reshaped. Manufactured and finished plastic parts or components are formed through a variety of molding, casting, extrusion, pultrusion, machining, welding, and grinding plastic manufacturing processes. Elastic and flexible, Aline’s thermoplastic materials are molded and manufactured for high-performance results.

ABS

ABS, a copolymer, is comprised of polymerized styrene and acrylonitrile with polybutadiene. Based on application, proportions can range from 15% to 35% acrylonitrile, 5% to 30% butadiene and 40% to 60% styrene. ABS exhibits excellent mechanical, thermal, electrical, and pysiological characteristics. Considered stronger than pure polystyrene, ABS obtains it’s strength from the polarization between the chains which attracts and binds them together.

Acetal

Aline Components can custom mold and manufacture acetal resins for strong and rigid plastic parts and components that are resistant to moisture, heat, and solvents.

Acrylic

Acrylic is the common term for the synthetic polymer, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). Since it’s inception to the market, acrylic has significantly increased in both use and benefit.

Nylon-PA

Aline Components, a leading plastic injection molding and manufacturing company, offers Nylon-PA, or polyamide, a thermoplastic material, for custom plastic parts or components in dynamic industrial applications.

PBT

Often compared to polyamide nylon, PBT plastic exhibits extremely low water absorption. As a result of low water absorption superior dimensional stability is achieved. The tensile strength of PBT is between 6,000 and 13,000 psi, while the flexural modulus is between 300,000 and 1,200,000 psi.

PET

At Aline Components plastic injection molding and manufacturing company, we invest in the finest resins such as Rynite® from preferred developers like DuPont™ to provide customers with high-grade PET plastic products suitable for diver applications.

Polycarbonate

Lexan® polycarbonate is an amorphous engineering thermoplastic with high mechanical, optical, electrical, and thermal properties. Additives such as UV stabilizers and mold release agents can alter the physical properties of polycarbonate plastic to function to the highest possible level under strenuous environmental conditions and complex plastic injection molding and manufacturing operations.

Polyethermide

At Aline Components, polyetherimide is available in transparent and opaque colors as well as glass-filled grades upon request. FDA and USP Class VI compliant colors are available on a custom basis.

Polyethylene

Polyethylene, also known as polyethene, is a semi-crystalline resin that derives from the monomer ethene used to create the polymer. Because PE can float in water it is easily distinguishable from other thermoplastic materials.

Polyphenylene Sulfide-PPS

At Aline Components, we feature two distinct PPS compounds: Ryton® which is manufactured by the Phillips Chemical Co. and Fortron® which is manufactured by Ticona Engineering Polymers. Obtaining the right grade for your application is easy as we work directly with leading resin suppliers. Through this working relationship Aline is able to ensure quality thermoplastics at an exceptional value.

Polypropylene

Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic polymer that is prepared catalytically from the monomer propylene. Grades of polypropylene that are commonly used in the commercial market have a level of crystallinity between low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE).

Polyurethane

Use Aline’s custom molded and manufactured polyurethane products in your final product or subsystem to cut downtime, maintenance time, and cost of parts to a fraction of previous figures. Customers based internationally, nationally, and regionally in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland are producing more efficient sub-systems and gaining better business benefit with Aline’s custom molded and manufactured polyurethane plastic products.

Polystyrene

A preferred plastic injection molding and manufacturing company located in Kulpsville, PA, Aline Components, offers polystyrene (PS) thermoplastic materials for a variety of custom plastic part and component applications. By offering such a broad range of thermoplastic materials, we are able to extend our customer base from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, and Maryland to industries across the entire United States. Our regional and national customers use polystyrene for their end product or subsystem needs.

PPO

PPO is a raw polymer that is naturally opaque and demonstrates superior high performance properties. PPO can be substantially modified for demanding applications by integrating rubber impact modifiers and other alloying agents to the original formulation.

PVC

One of the most versatile of all the engineering resins, PVC can be used in either rigid or soft (plasticised) form, which doubles its market value. Although PVC has been scrutinized as a dangerous material by some and has been subjected to more research than other thermoplastics, many now acknowledge it as an exceptionally safe material.

Thermoplastic Elastomers

Aline Components invests in Santoprene®, which is a thermoplastic elastomer developed by Advanced Elastomer Systems (AES), an affiliate of ExxonMobil Chemical Company. Additionally, we invest in Kraton® thermoplastic elastomers developed by Kraton Polymers.
