- The Friends of the Allen Public Library are a non-profit, all volunteer organization in Allen, Texas. The Friends are dedicated to supporting the Allen Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not be otherwise possible. Anyone can become a member! The Friends provide excellent benefits of membership for the citizens of Allen. The following is a list of library activities that are funded in whole or part by the Friends of the Allen Public Library.
