- Incorporated in 1982, the Alzheimer Society Of Saskatchewan is a charitable organization that provides family support, education, and information, advocates for the best care possible for people with Alzheimer's disease and their caregivers, and supports research efforts into finding the cause and cure of Alzheimer's disease.

- To alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders and to promote the search for a cause and a cure.
- On January 27, 2005 the Saskatchewan Provincial Advisory Committee of Older Persons (PACOP) and the Alzheimer Society Of Saskatchewan released A Strategy for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias which identified steps for improving the lives of the 18,000 people in our province who are living with Alzheimer's disease, their families and caregivers. It contains 60 recommendations that focus on seven goal areas: public awareness and education; diagnosis and treatment; support for individuals and caregivers; supportive environments for people living with the disease; programs and services; education and training for care providers; and, research.
