- The Amonsoquath Tribe of Cherokee is made up of descendants of the Powhatan Confederacy. The Amonsoquath Tribe was from the Amonute village on Bear Creek in Virginia. We also trace our migration to North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana and Missouri.
- Some of our people choose to come to Missouri before the removal of the Cherokee Nation and are found on the Old Settlers Rolls.
