- During numerous visits to family in the midwest, we began to envision turning our lifelong love for great coffees into a business venture. In 1993, we decided to move to Madison, Wisconsin, where we saw an opportunity to realize our dream of offering hand crafted coffees to an appreciative public.
- Prior to moving to Madison, we had been living for over twenty years in the Seattle, Washington, area — the heart of the espresso and specialty coffee industry in the United States! This afforded us the chance to study and train with a master roaster in preparation for turning our passion into our business.
- Our dream was to seek out the finest coffees available from around the world and craft roast them to perfection.
