- Andrew Stone was born and raised in suburban Massachusetts, and is 29 years old. He started making films at an early age, and went to NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, for Film & Television, graduating in 1998.
- Prior to graduating, he started his first company in 1996, with partner Vivek Sharma, called Merci Entertainment. Together, they commenced on working on a project called Break, an in-depth exploration of avante-garde peformers in New York; discovering their pasts, and what it means to get a break.
