At the Art Factory, located in historic New Bern, North Carolina, artists of many talents and varied backgrounds are working with one uniting factor - a box. Starting with this simple, three-dimensional form, each artist has the freedom to design and create his/her own unique vision. The Art Factory provides many sizes of wooden boxes with no limitations on the possibilities. It is a working studio where artists come together to grow and share new ideas. These artists constantly find unique ways to produce quality art. "Thinking outside the box" is our working motto.
Artists at the Art Factory have used these boxes in many original ways. As you browse our site, you will see painted boxes, boxes within boxes, boxes painted inside and outside. You will see different styles and different subjects. The artworks may include sculptural elements, either handmade or natural. The Art Factory boxes are designed to hang individually or in groupings. The boxes are extremely versatile. They hang on walls, sit upon desks or stack on shelves. Large installations are available for a more distinctive artistic statement.
