- The mission of the Ballet Conservatory of South Texas is to fulfill the developmental needs of serious young dancers, regardless of economic background, in a safe, nurturing and pre-professional dance company environment. The BCSTX does so by raising money for scholarships, providing high quality studio education and meaningful public performance opportunities, and by giving qualified guidance toward further higher education in dance and careers in dance performance and education. The BCSTX is also dedicated to educating and inspiring underserved children in San Antonio through providing free tickets to the company’s performances, and free dance lecture demonstrations in schools, social service centers and other community locations.
