Barghest was formed in 2005 by then-freshman Ian Martyn who wanted to find UCLA students who shared his interest in traditional Celtic music. Although most of us met Ian through various club activities (or, in one case, being mistaken for one of the other people), the group only actually got together to provide music for the Erin Go Bragh 2005 Saint Patrick's day event.
