About Barwidgee Lodge
Barwidgee Lodge was established in 1987, as a result of an identified need for care of the elderly within the Myrtleford and surrounding geographical area. New facilities were built and occupied from March 2002, providing accommodation for up to 30 residents, in either single or shared room accommodation with en-suite facilities. Rooms are determined on availability at the time of entry.
Barwidgee Lodge provides residential care in a home like facility, with professional caring staff to meet the residents’ needs, in accordance with the current Aged Care Act 1997 and Aged Care Nursing Standards. We acknowledge and support the ongoing need for family and friends involvement in our endeavour to maintain a desirable lifestyle, whilst maximizing independence, and dignity in a safe, happy and homely environment for our residents.
Barwidgee Lodge has three pets - one cat and two birds. Resident’s families and friends are invited to bring in their pet dog for a visit, as long as the dog is well trained, quiet and calm, and remains on a leash.
