- Having the travel (planes, buses, and trains), transfers, sleeping accommodations and some guides pre-planned gave us more time to be flexible with our free time and enjoy the sights. Machupicchu was absolutely breathtaking! We ventured there on two days to catch the sunrise and sunset. Alipio took us on a delightful full-day "tour" (this worked well with our Lonely Planet book in hand) around the Sacred Valley, complete with local stops along the way, making our adventure even more fun. Little did we know that we would enjoy Lake Titicaca as much as we did. That is a truly amazing area. Jeanette in Cusco was the best - friendly, professional, all around wonderful to work with. Maria was also a tremendous help our last day in Lima when we wanted to see the Monestery De San Francisco on the way to the airport - it was worth the detour!
