BeWrite is the result of an impassioned discussion between Neil Marr, his son, Alex Marr, and Alex' partner Cait Myers over New Year toasts as the Twentieth Century became the Twenty-First.
The trio - all ex-pat Brits - had been avid readers all their lives, and Neil a professional writer and editor for thirty-five years. They raised their glasses to the new millennium seeing new writing talent emerge as never before.
So Alex, a professional Internet Technology expert, and Cait, herself computer wise and an experienced administrator, got to work on turning the New Year's resolution into reality. And in the Spring of the year 2000 BeWrite.net was launched.
