Welcome to blogwithoutalibrary.net. I’m Amanda Etches-Johnson and I use this space to talk about libraries, technology, & everything in-between. Hence, the tagline.
This blog began it’s life with a very specific purpose, which you can read about here. Since then, it has evolved somewhat, a reflection of my evolving interests I suppose, and at the moment tends to focus on technology in/about/around/ libraries. A broad mandate.
A major component of this site is the Blogging Libraries wiki, which began its life as a static list of links to “libraries with blogs” and was converted to a wiki in April 2006. I started collecting links to library blogs as a companion to a book chapter I was writing a few years ago and thought that it made some sense to share that list here. Now that it’s in wiki format, you can add your own library blog to the appropriate page! Who doesn’t love self-serve?
