Boris Mann is a technology consultant and infovore. He graduated from the University of Victoria in 2000, with a BSc in Computer Science. He quickly decided that there were enough pure technologists, so he merged his technical and business skills and went to work full time for Nortel in Ottawa. At Nortel, Boris was part of a customer solutions group that combined network design with business modeling, working on everything from online video to fiber to the home. Boris later went on to found and run a boutique IT consulting firm dedicated to helping small businesses benefit from technology.
Boris now lives and works in Vancouver, BC. His company, Bryght, develops community collaboration spaces that enable businesses and organizations to easily maintain an online presence, as well as interact with clients and partners, through the use of innovative, browser-based tools. His technology passions include bleeding-edge web applications and next-generation communication tools like VoIP. At the end of the day, Boris loves to see his products and projects actually get used.
