BoomerangIt, Inc., formerly known as Centric Media, Inc., is a privately held Subchapter S Corporation owned 100% by its founder, chairman, and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. J.R. Orton III. Mr. Orton, a successful entrepreneur, began Centric Media in 1998 as the publisher of the Centric BicycleLINK Blue Book. In 1999, he purchased the National Bike Registry (NBR). NBR has been established as the largest bicycle registration database in the market, and is offered with over 65% of new bikes manufactured. Mr. Orton then brought together a talented team to take the NBR concept and evolve it into something more valuable. This was the beginning of the development of the BoomerangIt platform, "the VIN for everything else." In the second quarter of 2001, BoomerangIt was launched to include virtually any type of personal property. In the first quarter of 2002, the company was renamed after it's flagship product to BoomerangIt, Inc.
BoomerangIt has assembled a team that is familiar with the uses of emerging technology as well as effective marketing and sales techniques. The basic service that BoomerangIt provides is the collection and presentation of information about organizations, people, and their assets. The overhead, costs of inventory, and fulfillment are low. The Company focuses most of its resources and operations on marketing and sales.
