- The Benevolent Order of Scurrilious Monks is a registered non profit Monastic Order comprised mostly of artists and entertainers. Membership is honorary and by appointment of the Abbot. We are governed by an Abbot, a Mother Superior and a Board of Trustees. Presently, at the beginning of the 21st Century, We find that many members of our Order are associated with Renaissance Festivals. Many of us travel frequently.
