Bosnalijek, Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industry, has been in the business of drug manufacturing and marketing for 55 years. The company was established in Sarajevo in 1951. Today, Bosnalijek is a joint stock company and one of the most stable and successful companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The production pipeline of Bosnalijek consists of: ethical drugs, drugs for self-medication, disinfecting agents for use in medicine and disinfecting agents for wide use.
Bosnalijek is the leader at the domestic pharmaceutical market, while the income realized on 12 exporting markets has a constant tendency of growth. The introduction of Bosnalijek on the market of EU and seven countries of French-speaking Africa is rather certain.
Bosnalijek drugs are already present on the markets of Albania, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Croatia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Moldova, Qatar, Kuwait and Libya. The development of new products and bringing of the pipeline into accord with requirements of certain markets play a key role in the business strategy of Bosnalijek. A long-term strengthening of Bosnalijek competitiveness is based on it as well. In the year 2005, Bosnalijek opened two subsidiaries as well - Bosnalijek d.o.o. in the Republic of Croatia and Bosfarm DOOEL Skopje in the Republic of Macedonia.
