- Over 25 years ago, Chris Collins, a young salesman from Manchester, England went to the PGA Merchandise Show in Miami, full of excitement and representing The London Badge & Button Company. Chris walked the show floor making contacts and showing his line of blazer buttons, ties and crests where he came upon a booth that had some very interesting metal products (the ProClip® money clip as it turns out), and met Dick Bell who was making his foray into the golf industry with the beginnings of PG&A.
The two hit it off and began a relationship that has now spanned more than a quarter century! Dick's son, Patrick, met Chris the next year in Orlando at the PGA Show where the three worked a very busy booth with Dick's wife and Patrick's mother, Tancy, back home manning the office. The four built what eventually became PG&A, Professional Gifts & Awards, one of the foremost accessory companies in the golf industry.
Fast forward to 2006...All have remained very close over the years, in fact, consider each other to be "family". However, Dick has retired, Patrick has sold PG&A and Chris remained in the golf industry in Europe. Chris and Patrick began talking about joining up again. It was decided that focusing on the resurgence of men's fashion accessories would be the way to go. They even talked Dick into calling on a few clients and helping in the sales arena! Dick, Chris and Patrick have known success with woven ties and men's accessories for over 25 years. On top of that they had so much fun working together!
It's the birth of Bowler & Blake™, the rebirth of the "family" working together again! The three are excited to be together again! With the graphic and design skills, US and European fashion knowledge and custom product know-how we are poised and ready to launch!
