About Us
Boxted Airfield Historical Group was founded with the aims of educating, as well as promoting and preserving the history of Boxted Airfield - the most important USAAF fighter base.
Construction of the Airfield began towards the end of 1942 and was ready for occupation by June 1943. The first group to arrive were the 386th Medium Bomb Group with their Marauders.
