Title

Bridge The Digital Divide

Description

Computer Aid International is an UK registered not-for-profit working to bridge the divide between the developing and the developed world. The demand for quality, refurbished PCs from not-for-profits in the developing world is enormous and Computer Aid International was established to address that urgent need.

Computer Aid International is the world's largest non-profit supplier of refurbished computers to schools and community organisations in developing countries. Established in 1998 Computer Aid International tests, refurbishes, packs and ships donated Pentium computers from the UK for re-use in schools and the not-for-profit sector overseas.

To date, Computer Aid International has secured over 42,000 computer donations from corporates, universities, individuals and councils, of which 40,000 have been shipped to over 5,000 schools and not-for-profits in 90 different developing countries in just six years. These figures have been achieved because of the support we have received from individuals and businesses. As a not-for-profit Computer Aid International relies on the support of donors to continue its programme of work in the developing world.
