About Dr Bruno Broughton BSc (Hons), PhD, FIFM, C. Env.
Dr Bruno Broughton is a fisheries scientist by profession and for a decade worked as a fish biologist and fisheries officer with the Severn-Trent Water Authority. Since 1988 Bruno has run his own fisheries management consultancy business, providing advice to approximately 1,200 clients throughout the UK – and several in France – on a wide range of topics.
Bruno is a Fellow of the Institute of Fisheries Management and the author of a range of scientific papers and books. He is a regular contributor to the angling press and, when he gets time, is a keen ‘big fish’ coarse angler.
His work also encompasses duties for the Angling Trades Association (ATA) and, previously, the Angling Foundation since 1988. Currently Technical Director of the ATA and Administrator to the Professional Anglers’ Association, Bruno has been directly involved with campaigns to help protect and promote the sport of angling for almost 20 years. Bruno sits on the committee of the National Angling Alliance and is a member of the Moran Committee.
