Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle” is a weight loss and fitness book written by Tom Venuto, who wears many hats in the fitness arena, he is a self described natural bodybuilder, freelance writer, success coach, Personal Trainer and Nutritionist. Venuto has also been profiled in Ironman Magazine, Muscular Development, Muscle-Zine, and Men’s Exercise, Olympian’s News, Natural Bodybuilding and Exercise for Men. Venuto certainly does have years of strength training expertise under his belt, but so do many other authors, some of who have presented books that the average Joe or Jane can utilize, while others have not. We will take a long hard look at the concepts used in this book, as well as the design to see what it has to offer consumers.

Tom Venuto’ concept can be summed up in five words - "learning to be your best", he present readers with a series of tools and therapies to help them be their best nutritionally and in terms of overall physical fitness. The author promises to help readers “lose fat permanently, lose body fat without wrecking your metabolism and lose fat without drugs”.Venuto claims to use his 23 years of body building experience to give consumer’s tools to help them achieve their weight loss and fitness goals. The website indicates that he teachers users how to build a diet that will give them maximum fat burning capacity. Readers also are provided with the resources to be able to calculate the amounts of the nutrients needed for their particular body, as well as what is needed to help them achieve their current fat loss goals and their goals in terms of lean body mass. Venuto designed this book to address weight loss from an exercise, health, and nutritional point of view, and incorporates the above mentioned concept of "learning to be your best" into this perspective. He shows readers how to do this through setting goals and helping readers visualize reaching those goals.
