BVCC was established on the principle that high-quality, professional counseling be available at a reasonable rate that excludes no individual. Our sliding fee structure is designed to especially help those of middle and low income who cannot afford counseling services at the market rate, and we turn no one away for financial reasons.
BVCC was established in 1981 and became incorporated in 1999. Its inception was based on the premise that if the local church is to function properly, it must address the pain of its surrounding culture. Our current society demonstrates epidemic levels of relational/emotional ills characterized by depression, anxiety, marital disintegration, and addictive lifestyles. Bear Valley Church continues to provide office space and encouragement, as both the church and the counseling center minister to people in crisis and offer real help to those in need.
