COCunderground.com was started by a student of the College of the Canyons (COC) named Daniel O'Kelley in April of 2007. The primary goal of the site is bring the students of the COC together outside of the physical location of the school in order to provide them with a means of connecting in their own way. The way COC Underground aims to do this is through a classifieds system where the members can list and purchase textbooks from one another, in order to save money. Other aspects of the website include a forum for students to communicate with each other in order to form study groups or to simply hold discussions, and an event calendar which hosts important COC and community dates.
