Description
Founded in 1968 for the original purpose of supplying fuel injection parts for various Diesel engines, Canada Allied Diesel (CAD) has since grown to be an established world enterprise. CAD now provides parts, service and technical expertise to clients using locomotives, marine engines and power plants.
The company recognized the need in the after-market for ALCO, GE and EMD engine components. It was not long until CAD became a leading supplier of international diesel engines and related components.
Presently CAD continues to be motivated by the policies, which contributed to its growth: A high standard of quality and commitment to serve the needs of its clients worldwide. During the past several years, the company has been audited by North American concerns with successful results. CAD has registered its quality programs under CSA classification CA.Z299.3-1985 and ISO 9001-2000 registered.
In order to meet the requirements of the above standards, CAD has established a comprehensive analysis and testing capability in house. The company has at its disposal a long list of analytical equipment. This list contains a Clark hardness tester, a Zygo laser measuring instrument and computer controlled items such as a Computer controlled Measuring Machine (CMM), and a Spectro material analysis system for ferrous, copper and nickel based materials. Functional testing and calibration systems include fuel injection, turbochargers, water pumps, lube oil pumps and pressure relief or regulator valves. CAD is also capable of testing complete ALCO, GENERAL ELECTRIC and EMD engines up to 7000 h.p.
