CAMP - Council for the Advancement of Muslim Professionals

Description

The Council of American Muslim Professionals (CAMP), founded in Chicago in 1994, has made considerable strides in growth in North America. Founded originally to cater to the needs of Muslim professionals to network and build community ties, CAMP continues to add member cities in major metropolitan areas, with a combined membership in the tens of thousands. In 2005, CAMP revised its mission, vision and goals to accommodate Muslim professionals looking to network from other parts of the world. In an effort to become an international organization, CAMP renamed itself to the “Council for the Advancement of Muslim Professionals”.

The Council for the Advancement of Muslim Professionals is a professional networking organization dedicated to serving the needs of the Muslim community. CAMP strives to provide professional networking events, community outreach efforts and exciting interactive educational opportunities to foster the personal and professional growth of its members through an atmosphere of professionalism and mutual respect. With activities such as community service and Islamic education, we hope to improve the strength and cohesiveness of our Muslim community.

The main objective of CAMP is to promote unity for the global Muslim community by encouraging professional networking development through educational, social and intellectual activities within an Islamic framework. This includes, among other things, working to build understanding and cooperation between the different faiths and cultures of the world.
