The Salvation Army of Charleston, West Virginia features many programs. Camp Happy Valley located in Putnam County is available to children coming from underprivileged families at no cost. Seven weeks during the summer is filled with campers enjoying the lake or pool, rope climbing, crafts, bible classes, fishing or boating. The Boys and Girls Club features a computer lab, gym, game room, crafts and more. The Salvation Army has a church called the Citadel Worship Center with programs for adults, teens and children. The Thrift Stores offer a variety of items for purchase or you can make a donation of clothing, household items or even cars. The Salvation Army of Charleston is made up of over 40 Board Members. The Army is always ready with its disaster team. Our social workers are always there to help the needy of the community.
