Looking back, things almost seem sepia-toned and moldy now. Before Colorplus was launched in 1993, there were really no global clothing brands in India. Things have changed. Colorplus is now a name recognised and respected. Backed by two decades of experience in manufacturing garments for major international labels, we started out confident that we could equal, even surpass, the quality offered by existing global players. After all, we had a ringside view of their operations. So with a core competence in manufacturing, what we needed was to create a market for quality clothing in India. And the fact that you're here now, and reading about us, proves we managed to do just that... and are continuing to expand that market in some very unconventional ways.

But then we've always been unconventional. Our product and concept of Smart Casual were relatively new ideas in our market. We had even developed our own definition of sizing and fit. We felt that these had to be communicated clearly to our customers. And this is what shaped our advertising strategy. It remains unchanged to this day. No models. No brand ambassadors. Instead, our brand communication focuses entirely on our product.

Over the years, we have not just stuck to our chosen path of leadership, but have also started to assume iconic proportions both in the market, and in our industry. Global giants in the textile industry are always keen on joining hands with us, even lending their names, to joint R&D efforts. We have been seen as ideal vehicles to launch new and value added features. They are confident that if CP took on their product, the rest of the market would be sure to follow suit. Based in Chennai, we have a centralised design and development team, and we do most of our manufacturing. Our centralized warehouse ensures timely deliveries to our outlets in India and abroad. Our in-house IT Team has developed a " bespoke" ERP package, which gives us tight control over the entire chain, from Design to Storefront.
