"Wanting to share our relaxed life style and proud of what we could offer tourists and new residents alike, the villages and areas around Tweed, Marmora, Madoc and Stirling joined forces in 2003 to create Comfort Country.
Our area is rich in agriculture, history, natural beauty and things to do. Many a day can be spent visiting different parts of our countryside. There are breathtaking vistas, beautiful rivers and lakes and just great down home cookin' to please all.
We are located halfway between Toronto and Ottawa and between Bancroft and Belleville. There are numerous recreation trails, golf courses, parks and conservation areas for all kinds of actvities.
