Gary commenced his legal career in the Western District of Victoria undertaking Articles with well-known Labor Lawyer, Austin Stringer. After completing his Articles in 1982, Gary quickly moved into partnership and in 1989 became the sole proprietor of the firm, Stringer Clark. Gary built this firm into one of the largest compensation and personal injuries practices in country Victoria. Throughout the 1990’s the firm expanded opening offices in Warrnambool and Hamilton as well as visiting Ararat and Horsham. Under Gary’s guidance the firm Stringer Clark became renowned for acting on behalf of the injured people and the less fortunate in the Western District. Gary, in partnership with the SouthWest District Trades & Labor Council, led many battles in the Western District in an effort to maintain the rights of injured people. As recognition of his services to the Western District, Gary was awarded the prestigious Bob McClure Award by the SouthWest District Trades & Labor Council.
Gary has significant experience in all facets of personal injuries and compensation law ranging from TAC to medical malpractice, to worker’s compensation, to Commonwealth compensation as well as public liability and asbestos claims. Gary’s particular interest extends to laws relating to injuries at nightclubs and entertainment venues as well as having an extensive personal injury practice in the area of spinal injury caused by trauma. Gary’s athletic skills and love for football, tennis and sport in general has led him to develop an extensive sports injury practice.
Patsy has been practising in the area of personal injury for Plaintiffs for over 20 years. She has pioneered many cases being amongst one of the first lawyers to take on the tobacco industry for smoking related illness and death. She has successfully undertaken many cases for conditions such as asbestos related illnesses, chemical induced illness, workplace injury and death, motor vehicle related injuries and deaths. Patsy has an enviable track record in the area of medical negligence cases, such as nervous shock associated with trauma.
