Advanced Gaming Systems, Inc., (AGSI) was incorporated in 1990 as a royalty accounting mechanism for Harpoon. AGSI’s became a publishing firm when Harpoon designers Jesse Spears and Byron Audler asked to upgrade Harpoon 1 and 2. Those products hit the market in 2002. In 2006, AGSI entered into an agreement with Matrix Games. Matrix handles the packaging and PR issues of the commercial Harpoon versions.
