Description
Well for starters, why v4? CORE in it's original form, some years back now was a phpnuke powered 'Tech Culture' site that I set up because I felt I had access to some cool gadgets and gizmo's that might be interesting to other people (the Linux Kit for the PS2 comes to mind). After a few variations on a theme (and one or two false starts, *cough* magazine *cough*) I think it's about time I rebirth this thing in a proper way and return back to the roots that made CORE, well CORE.
In the passing years I have made friends with a few tech shops & manufacturers (as you do when you keep buying stuff =)) and they have graciously promised to supply me with review materials. If you're like me and don't like to wait for upcoming goods the upside of this is that CORE will only review cool toys that are available to you, in Australia, today, not stuff you need to import yourself.
Obviously I am mindful of a perceived link to suppliers who have, unsurprisingly, a vested interest in a positive review. Well, as I have explained to them it's not in their best interest to ship a sub-par product so I will call a dog a dog and a cow a cow (though I don't intend to review animals, unless they're a robo-cow and/or robo-dog =)) - Addiitonally I tend to favour reviews on stuff that I consider cool so that'll probably skew the results a little =).
