Seeking to preserve the heritage of Wisconsin’s cranberry industry and educate the public about cranberry production, the Clinton Potter family opened Cranberry Expo in 1989 on their marsh east of Warrens.
After operating the cranberry museum for 10 years, the Potter family gifted it to the Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association. In 2004, renovation of a new home for the museum – a former cranberry sorting warehouse – began.
