In 1996, NuNet was founded as an Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the Lehigh Valley by John and Jacqueline Keown. The Keowns had a simple business vision – become the region’s prominent provider of Internet access by providing excellent customer service combined with the latest technology. Despite intense competition with a dozen other ISPs (several of whom had been in business much longer), NuNet successfully captured a significant percentage of local customers.
