Description
A book entitled "The Golden Section" (by I. Shevelev, M. Marutaev, I. Shmelev) was published in the USSR in 1990. It became a scientific best seller right away. And you can hardly find it now in bookstores. Each author of the book expressed his individual view concerning the subject of Harmony that is not assimilated by contemporary scientific school the way it deserves leaving out some in-depth layers of so essential an expanse of science untouched as yet. Harmony as a comprehensive phenomenon has attracted outstanding researchers since the earliest times. Therefore "The Golden Section" is still challenging to specialists of different spheres of practical activities. It can also interest readers at large. Harmony permeates all the levels of existence, all kinds of substance formation.
Being conscious of this important factor, one of the authors of this fundamental research took the trouble to launch a new edition of this work. A specific character of its artistic design which is in line with the research subject needs a substantial financial support, and so it is decided to start publishing each author's work individually in a series of monographs united by a single art and graphic design, the first one being Igor Shmelev’s monograph "The Third Signal System". Each book of the edition has its ordinal number inscribed in the author's handwriting. The book is published in two languages (Russian and English) to acquaint foreign readers with this original research.
