Neighborhood legend is that the original building, a farm house built in the 1800's and labeled "The Old Stone House", served as a Civil War hospital. Parts of the early structure are still visible inside our lobby today.The Crooked Road is the nickname the soldiers called the street that is now known as Defoor Avenue.
