denton Rock city is headquartered at the top of Stark Hall at Texas Woman's University in beautiful Denton, Texas. (Denton is a small town of a little more than 88 thousand folks, 75% of which are your average whiteys.) The legendary dormitory is known for it's high security and altitude, thus we picked this location so that we remain hidden from any outside threats or tomfoolery. It is no surprise that a town with a great music school (University of North Texas) and deep historically rocking roots has got something for everyone. This is why denton Rock city was created. An information source for Denton musicians, bands, venues and music writers. dRc was created out of The Denton Scramble, a local independent media newspaper. Everything was going along just
fine...and then came "the man". dRc's success was catching the eye of the great-great-grandson of Jebidiah Denton (Pioneer that discovered Denton) Francis "Bud" Denton. Bud owns almost everything in Denton, even the evil property management companies that always seem to know how to screw you out of your deposit when you move out. Anyways, Bud quickly scrapped the whole staff and brought in his team of "decision makers". These men sit atop TWU and decide what the future will be in this town and what young people will be listening to at their favorite music venues and bars. This may sound a little farfetched,
but the only reason you think that is because you are currently under the mind control experiments that these men have created using techniques similar to that of Jim Jones and his monkeys. Don't worry, it's harmless...just stay away from the Kool-Aid, there's a glitch. You'll notice a lot of bands today use keyboards and fancy guitar pedals. These actually act as a Trojan horse to imprint the mind control sequence code into your brain. The high pitch encoder can't even be heard by canines. We are proud of our Denton musicians and their allegiance to the cause. They rock you and keep you coming back - program success.
