Description
In 1993, I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. My goal was to become a full-time freelance Illustrator after earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in General Illustration. Upon realizing the competitiveness of this market, I decided to take some time to strengthen my portfolio and learn about the book publishing business from the inside. Originally taking a job as a Designer at Grosset & Dunlap (a division of Penguin Putnam Books for Young Readers), I am currently the Associate Art Director at Little Simon & Little Simon Inspirations (an imprint of Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing Division).

Children's book illustration is my passion. Taking classes at Cooper Union in NYC I had a wonderful teacher who inspired me to find my artist within. As a result I unlocked a whole new style; a new style which landed me the job to illustrate the re-designed packaging line of pet foods for California Natural in 2005. California Natural is an all-natural pet food company owned by Natura Pet. Illustrations of the first two varieties can be seen in the Artwork section of my website.
