DirectUs was founded in 2000 with the mission of bringing improved Internet technologies to Western North Carolina. In 2001 the company acquired several of the leading local ISPs in the Western Piedmont. DirectUs then began conversion and integration of these vintage networks to new state-of-the-art servers and network facilities. As the network buildout nears completion, the company has begun the introduction of a new generation of high-speed services.
