Jorge is originally from Mexico City where he grew up and studied business administration for the tourist industry. In 1985 he moved to Cancun, Quintana Roo, where a passion for ocean and cave diving exploration trapped him for the last 16 years. Since then he has logged more than 4000 dives in different dive specialties like: drift diving, night diving, underwater navigation, multilevel dives, underwater filming and cave diving.
For the last 10 years he has been living in Akumal, Mexico, a small village located 70 miles south of Cancun, where the most beautiful cenotes (caverns and caves) of the Yucatan Peninsula are located. There he enjoys the exploration in the jungle searching new cenotes and operates private diving and snorkel tours to the local reefs, caverns and caves.
