Dr. Shawn Patrick Tierney has been a treating doctor at Atlantic Chiropractic Center, in Bixby Knolls and Belmont Shore, since early 1995. His professional education has consisted of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Science from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Johnstown, PA. He was awarded his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from the prestigious Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. He had the distinction of being Class Representative and Student Body President while at LACC. He has also had the honor of being elected to Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities.
In addition to being a Chiropractor, Dr. Tierney has also been an active bodybuilder, a Chemist, and a Personal Trainer at various health clubs. He was awarded 3rd Place Tall 1990 ABBA Natural National (Bodybuilding). From the above, it is understandable why Dr. Tierney has such an immense comprehension and skill about biomechanics, exercise, nutrition and general well being.
At Atlantic Chiropractic Center, Dr. Tierney specializes in treating athletic, industrial, and automobile related injuries. He is also a specialist in the management of chronic pain and has a particular interest in whole family nutrition and wellness.
