Dolphin Brothers.com was founded by me, Dan Stevenson. I have been a Dolphins fan for almost as long as I have been alive. Heck, I was born in the "Perfect Season". I was very young when my older brother, Steve, introduced me to football and the Miami Dolphins. We immediately loved the colors and the logos on the helmets. That led to understanding the strategies, the players, the coaches and the other teams involved in this great game of football.
To this day, Steve and I enjoy great memories of those times when we were young. We lived in Texas at the time and it was hard to get Dolphin games on TV there, much less radio. There was no DirecTV in those days. We had to rely on several factors that were amazingly frustrating. Were the Houston Oilers playing at the same time as the Dolphins? Shoot! Oh look!! They're playing a NFC team at home! Let's hope they show the Dolphins game. Oh man! NBC owned the rights to the AFC in those days and let's just say that the "Ten Minute Ticker" was NOT every ten minutes.
When the Dolphins were not playing, we would go in the yard and throw the ball around against other kids in the neighborhood. It was Marino to Duper and Clayton all day! We even came up with our own plays. "Cut 1A - Pump Fake - Bomb" was our favorite. We'd get 'em every time with that one.
